Nottingham Restaurant Week — The Luce in Notts Top 10

I’m so excited to be collaborating with fellow Notts enthusiasts It’s in Nottingham to promote the city’s very first Restaurant Week!

This seven day, city-wide event will celebrate Nottingham’s fantastic food scene and offer local foodies like you and me the chance to dine out on a discount.

More than 40 independent businesses and big name chains are getting involved. You can view the full list of participating restaurants on Restaurant Week’s official Eat Nottingham website.

When is Nottingham Restaurant Week?

Restaurant Week kicks off next week and will run from Monday 15th May to Sunday 21st May 2023.

What happens during Restaurant Week?

For one week only, restaurants across Nottingham city centre will be serving up a range of delicious deals, including limited edition menus and special dishes that are Restaurant Week exclusives.

All of the deals will span five price points: £5, £10, £15, £20 and £25. Some restaurants are providing one offer at one price, while others have multiple offers at different price points. You can browse the deals available on the Eat Nottingham website.

How do I claim a Nottingham Restaurant Week deal?

  • Visit the Eat Nottingham website
  • Scroll through the range of participating restaurants on the restaurant directory
  • Choose a restaurant that takes your fancy, browse the deal/s available and purchase your vouchers directly on the site
  • Download the voucher to your mobile device and you’re ready to go!

Please be aware that terms and conditions may apply at certain restaurants (e.g. some venues require you to pre-book to claim the deal) so make sure you read the T&C carefully before buying.

My ‘Top 10recommendations

After a thorough browse of the deals on offer, I’ve put together a list of my personal ‘Top 10’ picks from this year’s Restaurant Week. I’ve chosen two of my favourite deals from each price point to make sure there is something for every budget.

Tap the restaurant name to go to their page on the Eat Nottingham website and find out more about the deal or to purchase your vouchers. If you’re reading this blog while out and about, you can also tap the restaurant address for Google Map directions from your current location.

Bon Appétit!

AD – this blog post was written as part of a paid collaboration with It’s in Nottingham. I was given full creative freedom over the content I created and the local restaurants I chose to promote.

Blend at Contemporary (£5)

Blend, Nottingham Contemporary, Garner’s Hill, Nottingham NG1 2GB
What’s included: A special Restaurant Week grilled cheese for £5

Blend is one of Nottingham’s leading coffee shops. Alongside the amazing artisan coffee from local roasters Stewarts of Trent Bridge, Blend is best known for its exceptional cheese toasties.

A grilled cheese from Blend will usually cost you between £7 and £8.75, but a mystery, limited edition toastie will be available to order during Restaurant Week for just £5.

Revolution in Hockley (£5)

7 Broad Street, Nottingham NG1 3AJ
What’s included: Lunch and a drink – any sandwich, salad or bowl with the lunch deal symbol and a soft or hot drink

Next up is Revs in Hockley, where you can get lunch AND a drink for £5. I’ve been to Revs for food a few times now and I’ll definitely be making a lunchtime pit stop to take advantage of this deal during Restaurant Week.

The Hockley branch of Revs also has special deals for the £10, £15 and £20 price points, so check out the Eat Nottingham website for more info.

Kofuku House (£10)

23 Hockley, Nottingham NG1 1FH
What’s included: One course and a drink

This traditional Asian café was set up by two former Nottingham Trent University students on a mission to bring authentic Asian street food to Nottingham locals.

On the menu, you’ll find traditional delicacies like Hong Kong style toast, Taiwanese popcorn chicken and beef brisket noodles, as well as different types of tea.

MOJO (£10)

10 Thurland Street, Nottingham NG1 3DR
What’s included: Any main and a selected drink

MOJO is all about fun vibes, from the American-style food to the throwback tunes. This venue is liveliest in the evenings, so it’s worth visiting later in the day and giving yourself time to sample MOJO’s extensive cocktail selection.

There is a main meal for everyone at MOJO, with chicken wings, smash burgers and hand-stretched pizza all on the menu.

Bohn’s Best Burgers (£15)

20-22 Broad Street, Nottingham NG1 3AL
What’s included: A burger from the Classic Burger options, house fries and a drink (a pint of Amstel, small glass of wine, a soft or hot drink)

The clue’s in the name with this restaurant — you won’t find a better burger anywhere in Notts! With those credentials, the Bohns Restaurant Week deal is not to be missed.

A burger alone is usually priced at £12 (still worth every penny in my humble opinion) so this is excellent value for money. If you haven’t been to Bohns yet, next week is the perfect opportunity for a long over-due first visit.

The Pudding Pantry (£15)

27-29 Trinity Square, Burton Street, Nottingham NG1 4AF
What’s included: Pantry breakfast, pudding and a drink

With this Restaurant Week deal, you get the best of both worlds with sweet and savoury dishes at popular brunch restaurant the Pudding Pantry.

‘The Pantry Breakfast’ is your classic Full English with a Pudding Pantry twist (pancakes on the side!) The deal also comes with a drink and a pudding for after.

31K (£20)

31 Goose Gate, Nottingham NG1 1FE
What’s included: Three courses

31K are the cool kids of the Nottingham foodie scene, with a local reputation built on incredible cocktails and cemented by their unique seasonal food menus.

The build-a-bowl style approach at 31K may seem chaotic to the first time visitor but the mix of flavours with every ingredient combo is always first-class. Claim this deal on the Tuesday or Wednesday of Restaurant Week to make the most of 31K’s £6 cocktails.

Fothergills (£20)

5-7 Castle Road, Nottingham NG1 6AA
What’s included: Two courses from the set menu (available to view on the Restaurant Week website)

This historic Nottingham bistro is praised by both locals and tourists for its tasty pub grub. During Restaurant Week, you can tuck into a two course evening meal for £20.

If the British weather’s feeling friendly, I encourage you to dine al fresco and enjoy front-seat views of Nottingham Castle over dinner.

The Calcutta Club (£25)

8-10 Maid Marian Way, Nottingham NG1 6HS
What’s included: Starter and main course with one rice and one bread from a set menu (available to view on the Restaurant Week website)

Calcutta Club is my favourite Indian restaurant in the city. A winning choice for date night, this family-run independent serves outstanding food. The fantastic hospitality is an added bonus!

As Calcutta Club is a high quality restaurant, I’m happy to pay a higher price when dining there. So £25 for starter, main, rice AND bread at a place of this calibre is something to shout about and definitely a deal worth snapping up in Restaurant Week.

Oscar & Rosie’s (£25)

8 Stoney Street, Nottingham NG1 1LP
What’s included: One 14″ pizza with two drinks (wine, beer or soft drink)

How do you like the sound of a meal for two for £25? Well, that’s what the pizza pros at Oscar & Rosie’s are offering.

I had the 14 inch pizza pictured here for my birthday in March and I ended up taking more than half of it home with me! If you have a large appetite, it’s worth adding a side of Oscar & Rosie’s magnificent mac ‘n’ cheese to your order — you won’t regret it.

You can find out about the dozens of other deals available during Restaurant Week on the Eat Nottingham website.
